Caroline Ware is the Local Taxpayer Advocate for the State of Arizona. Prior to moving to Phoenix, Caroline was the Local Taxpayer Advocate for the State of Alaska. She joined the Taxpayer Advocate Service from Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, where she was the Deputy Director. Prior to becoming the Deputy Director, Caroline was the Director of their Low Income Taxpayer Clinic where she advocated for low income taxpayers before all levels and divisions of the IRS. In 2014, she was presented with the Glenn Shuman Outstanding Advocate award.
Caroline received her Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., where she studied economics and entrepreneurial leadership. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Florida State University and her Masters of Law degree in taxation from the University of Florida. In her personal time, Caroline enjoys trying new things, exploring new places and spending time with her significant other and her ferocious dachshund.
